In A Moment of Silence, Hestnes / Popović investigates the notion of belonging to a specific time, place and group. By playing with the concept of collective nostalgia and what details of history that are left untouched, they question how we define ourselves and how we pass this narrative on.
‘A Moment of Silence’ is a remarkably charming performance where Hestnes / Popovic with simple, but surprising means tell us something essential about being human. – Amund Grimstad, Klassekampen
Review from Klassekampen (in Norwegian)
The performers’ stories are constantly linked to central events, often wars, and thus strike a nerve in human collective history. -Eline Bjerkan, Scenekunst.no
